Roses Are Dead

-verse one
Roses are red and violence is blue
whatever batters me will batter you too
I find my life in no way complete
but I cannot and will not accept my defeat
walking around late and at night times it seems
wondering if it merely nightmares or dreams…

-verse two
Roses are red, bathed in a pool of blood
blood of a god, your gods above
a cross of red bled into its chest
hole in the head, bleeding out, dead
I’m dying to, it is this I do detest
not a god of love that takes a last breath…

-verse three
Roses are raw, violets are bold
ignorance is bliss until you get old
fiery words searing into my brain
clinically defined as inane
drilling in deep and bleeding me low
sinking, spinning, causing vertigo

-chorus
1; If this is bliss, then go away
2; In swirling colors gone today
3; Rather see more than reflected decay
4; Splintering mass of nerves gone a fray
*- varies with each repeat at the end of verses (ie… first time= 1234, second= 2341, third= 3412, final= 4123)
