a Year of Weekends
i have given you this as my open letter to the system that infects us and is in whose disease as image we writhe and swivel our chairs in luxury not of the cave people building their gods out of thin err in humor bending those straight and serious out of a shape and a color out of space, tricks chased to the edge of the statement buried in metaphors in a basement somewhere as out of the way we are tricked into thinking that there is some way deeper into the forest beyond these trees whose uncanny magic is tightly woven into our spirits as well on the land whose feeding each other these idealized supplies on demand under a natural management, but we exploit and expand using the edges to mimic and mock this mystical production on command to be controlled existence called ‘Mankind’ as the new religious icon as holy and dazed as much deified and razed up as savior to humanity’s ways curious and cruel at this same time… no shaving emptiness off of these lies as they dance across the eyes and ears to settle the arguments and their people in the seats of power they have become used to as ineffectual demons sunk into the hellish oblivion we are made to live through well onto the prospect of the new scary futures unrelenting and ever-ascending the torque in this ocean of madness, one of the scariest parts being a dread anxiety of endless waiting while the world makes its own decisions not knowing what consequence of those actions might be when speculating about the stops on the journey to the end of existence as we think we have learned to be true concerning life death and rebirth interminably linked to powerful forces we glimpse only as small snapshots while in Here, and the journey stays difficult no matter how much is acquired whether from a knowledge honed from years of study into an overconfident sense of how enlightenment is related to that material wealth as resource hoarded and searched for by those people who resemble the opportunist horde behind the guise of a kind and polite society in caring as much for the greater good as individual greed and a desire to be better than you though i find myself infested with those same commercial-industrial fears as much as anyone else paralyzed by the subtle attacks of swaying human opinion to a paranoid attempt at always proving the Other ones wrong with the dirty and underhanded gestures for this supposed winning path toward glory promised from the beginning to us…
Thanks, khet.
